Atreyu got out of the car, closing and locking his door. He then walked around to the passenger door, opening it for Marnie. Such a gentleman. Just the way his mom had raised him. Then again, he was a fighter the way his father had raised him. He had caught habits from both parents. "Here we be." He said, looking up at the roller coasters which were visible over the amusement park gate. He double checked on having his wallet before starting to walk to the front gate.

Marnie nodded and stepped out of the car. What a gentleman. Breifly, when she was sure Atreyu was not looking or listening, she whispered, "Thanks, mom," into the cool afternoon air. Her mother had always taught her to be gracious and to give people a chance. But would she be able to accept a boy with a pierced lip? Well, hadn't she sent him for her? Marnie was not a firm believer in God anymore. He'd taken everything from her. And in her life she'd never committed such a sin to have deserved that.
Marnie sped up and followed close behind Atreyu to the front gate. It was a Friday, it was not yet two o'clock. They got fifty dollars off their total ticket purchase today! That made it...a thirty-dollar pay for both of them - unlimited rides. All day.

Getting out his wallet, Atreyu pulled out some money and paid for the tickets. He was, after all the one who had invited her along. It was only fit that he pay...Plus he was the guy. And over all it just made him feel better if he paid. After receiving the tickets, He handed one to Marnie. "Here ya go." He walked through the gate and grabbed a map on the way through. "Like I said...I haven't been here in a while." He said this to support reasoning of why he'd grabbed a map.

Marnie nodded smilingly and accepted the ticket. "Where to? No water rides, please, I think I'd die of hypothermia," she added. Then, she noted a freefall ride about sixty yards away. Today it was free of charge. It was called the Scrambler-er. It lifted any group of two or three up to sixty feet, hooked them to a cable, then dragged them another fifty feet up and dropped them. It was the most frightening coaster in the park. Marnie couldn't wait to try it out...and watch somebody who played tough like Atreyu scream like a toddler!

Nodding, Atreyu started walking. "I think I'd have to agree about the water rides. End up in bed with a thermometer in our mouths and curled up in blankets like you see on the cartoons. Our feet in buckets of hot water." He laughed and looked at the map a moment before folding it up and putting it in his pocket. "So you wanna start from the front and work our way back or vice versa?"
