Mikayla sighed as she slid against the wall.
Sean was no where in sight.
The music was loud.
Very loud.
She notticed a boy, unfamiliar.
He seemed out of place.
Being the small town girl she was, her gut instinct was to go introduce herself.
She sighed smoothing out her hands on her dress before walking over to the general area where he stood.
She rocked back and forth on her heels, she needed a bit more time to work up the courage.
He was new to this town.
It was clear.
She sighed.
"Hi..."
She said with a smile towards him.

Carli smiled feebly towards Marnie, standing up. Muttering something about needing the loo and giving Troy a quick wave, Carli made her way through the crowds on the dancefloor. Looking a little lost, she glanced around. Surely she knew someone around here!
Spotting Mikayla in the crowds, Carli grinned and starting making her way over to the girl.
"Hey!" Carli said, appearing by her side, "I though you weren't coming!"

"CARLI!"
A wide smile spread across Mikayla's face.
"Sorry I'm so late."
She said pulling at a loop in her hair,
"Are you okay, you look like you've been crying?"
She said in a worried tone.
(bluck XD Short)

"Of course I haven't!" Carli said, knowing she wasn't convincing anyone. She wiped her eyes a little, trying to look a little more cheerful. After all, it was the winter dance, and she didn't want to ruin it for anyone.

Mikayla shrugged her shoulders.
She didn't know Carli well enough yet to know if she was lying or not, or maybe she just didn't want to talk about what ever was bothering her.
Mikayla smiled changing the topic,
"This boy, he's new to town, isn't he?"
She said with a sly smile, speaking of the boy as if he wasn't standing right beside her.
